Maintaining proper tyre pressure
Check tyre pressure regularly: you can use a tyre pressure gauge to measure tyre pressure. The standard tyre pressure values for a typical vehicle can be found in the vehicle owner's manual, on the driver's door bezel or on the fuel cap. It is advisable to check the tyre pressure once a month, especially before long journeys.
Adjusting tyre pressure: If the pressure is too high, it will make the tyre's grounding area smaller, increase wear and tear, and make it easy to have a flat tyre; if the pressure is too low, it will increase the tyre's rolling resistance, leading to an increase in fuel consumption, and will also cause excessive deformation of the tyre, accelerating aging and damage. According to the actual situation, use the air pump to adjust the tyre pressure to the appropriate range.
Second, pay attention to tyre wear
Observe the depth of the tyre tread: tyre tread usually has wear indicator marks, when the depth of the tread is close to the wear indicator marks, it means that the tyre needs to be replaced. Generally speaking, tyres with a tread depth of less than 1.6 mm must be replaced.
Check the side of the tyre: tyres should be replaced immediately if there are bulges or cracks in the side of the tyre, as these can lead to a sudden and dangerous blowout while the tyre is in motion.
